IABOUT THIS ISSUE:

We know that many of our readers enjoy other film genres besides monsters and that includes Westerns.  As some of you may know, Star Trek creator, Gene Roddenberry, was a diehard Old West afficianado.  He was a senior writer for WAGON TRAIN, DEATH VALLEY DAYS, and HAVE GUN, WILL TRAVEL before launching Star Trek.  (Many actors who appeared on ST had worked with Gene on Westerns, hence their being cast).  Freaky Monsters publisher Ray Ferry and Roddenberry were friends for many years and had several spirited discussions about Westerns.  Some of that information along with Ray's own research (he is a longtime Western and Civil War buff) led to the publication of this special magazine for the town of Tombstone, Arizona.  We offer it here for those of you who also share a passion for the legends and films of the Wild, Wild West!
