DESCRIPTION:

Monsters and madmen preying upon beautiful heroines has always been a fun-dimental ingredient of horror films. No matter how sinister the plot, eventually the heroine will be carted off (usually clad in a slinky, satin nightgown) and terrorized by the villain until our hero arrives in the knick of time to save her from a fate worse than death. Unlike today's films, the restraint demonstrated in the classics is a big part of their charm. But have you ever wondered how the classic horror films might have looked if they had been made in the less-restrictive Pre-Code era?
"Naked Horror" by Freaky Monsters cover artist, Arlis, is a titillating (no pun intended) portfolio of fine art black & white digital pen and ink sketches and gray-scale watercolors featuring well-known scenes from classic horror films --- enticingly re-imagined.
The sketches are not sexually explicit (by today's standards they are "PG" or "soft R" rated), but they present an imaginary "Pre-Code" view of how these Horrorwood classics might have looked had there been no censors. Some of the images are disturbing...some are beguiling...some are even "scandalous", but all of them are exotic, enticing and compelling!
